The Specially Fit Academy Rams pushed their score all the way to 69 on Thursday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They lost to Jordan Christian Prep on the road by a decisive 86-69 margin. Despite running the score up even higher than they did on Wednesday (59), Specially Fit Academy still had to take the loss.
Jordan Christian Prep got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was William Reyes-Montanez out in front who scored 26 points. Those 26 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Daniel Osasjoshua, who scored 22 points.
Specially Fit Academy's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Jordan Christian Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Specially Fit Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Bell Creek Academy at 6:00 p.m. on January 22nd. As for Jordan Christian Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Downey Christian at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Downey Christian's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
