The Gregori Jaguars were the 62-57 winner over the Turlock Bulldogs when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The contest between Gregori and Turlock wasn't particularly close, with Gregori falling 63-45. Gregori has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Gregori saw an underclassman step up: Jayson Powers scored 19 points along with two steals and two blocks. Marcus Sims was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
Turlock's win on Wednesday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Dutch Lawrence, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremiah Evans, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds.
Gregori dropped their record down to 12-13 with that loss, which was their third straight at home. As for Turlock, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
Gregori will be playing at home against Enochs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Gregori is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 56.8 points per game this season. Turlock will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Pitman at 7:30 p.m. on February 2nd. Pitman has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 312 points over their last five matches.
