Baseball Recap: Spanish River Takes a Loss

Spanish River and Boca Raton squared off in some playoff action on Tuesday, but Spanish River had to settle for second. They fell 4-1 to the Bobcats. The Sharks have struggled against the Bobcats recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Spanish River saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Roman Zabala, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Another was Shane Price, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Spanish River's defeat dropped their record down to 13-13. As for Boca Raton, their victory bumped their record up to 6-20.

Spanish River does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Boca Raton, they will take on Park Vista at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Cobras will roll in looking for their eighth straight win, something the Bobcats surely won't give up without a fight.
