Deandre Montgomery Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Thursday, North Side got the W thanks in part to Deandre Montgomery playing the best football he has all season. Montgomery rushed for 133 yards and four touchdowns. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in September of 2023.
This season, Montgomery has averaged 7.2 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after five games last season, he was only averaging 3.2 receiving yards per game.

Kaeden Grant Turns in Season-Best Effort
Arlington Heights was led to victory by Kaeden Grant, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Grant threw for 161 yards and three touchdowns while completing 73.7% of his passes, and also punched in two touchdowns on the ground.
The victory for Arlington Heights keeps them at an undefeated 6-0. Grant and Arlington Heights will be playing at home against Saginaw at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Carson James Dazzles in Arlington Heights Win
Carson James was instrumental in extending Arlington Heights's winning streak to six on Friday. James did his part (and then some), rushing for 102 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries for the 'W'. His longest rush was for an impressive 51 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
Unfortunately for Polytechnic, this isn't the first big game they've seen from James. When James last faced the Parrots back in September of 2023, he rushed for 96 yards and two touchdowns on only 13 carries.

Big Game from Thomas As Paschal Won 37-8
Rounding off our Top Five is Jashaun Thomas of Paschal. Thomas threw for 228 yards and a touchdown while picking up 10.9 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 48 yards and a touchdown.
The win was the fourth in a row for Paschal, bringing their record for this year to 4-1. Thomas and Paschal will challenge Polytechnic at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
