FRANKFORT, Ky. - Special teams carried
Frankfort (Ky.) to a 78-0 victory over Bracken County (Brooksville, Ky.) on Saturday as the return units contributed two touchdowns. The special teams of the Panthers scored on two punt returns.
After taking the lead on an
Anthony Robinson touchdown pass to
Jalen Washington in the first quarter, Frankfort led 64-0 at the half.
FHS expanded its lead to 71 points entering the fourth quarter. The Panthers scored once in the quarter on a
DeShawn Newton touchdown run.
Frankfort's defense helped with 18 points of its own during the win.
Washington played well for FHS in the victory. He caught one touchdown. He has now scored eight touchdowns on the season.
The Panthers had given up an average of 15.7 points prior to the contest. The zero points that the Polar Bears ended with were below their average of 6.0 coming into the game.
When the two teams played each other last season, Frankfort came away with a 65-0 victory.
Frankfort (6-2) goes up against Eminence in a 1A District 3 game matchup next week, while Bracken County (2-6) locks horns with Paris also in a 1A District 3 game.
