Tecumseh lost to Bethany by a decisive 20-38 margin. Tecumseh were down by 6-35 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Tecumseh's loss came about despite a quality game from senior Raymond Thomas, who rushed for 102 yards and 2 touchdowns. Additional support came from defensive powerhouse senior Tyler Bingham, who racked up 14 tackles.
Tecumseh's defeat pushes them down to 3-5. The win makes it two in a row for Bethany and bumps their record up to 7-1.
The teams are both focusing on improving their conference standings in their upcoming contests. Next week Tecumseh will take on McLoud at 7:30 PM. McLoud are limping into the game on a four-game losing streak. Bethany will take on Madill at home at 7:30 PM. Madill also lit up the scoreboard in their last contest, so this could be a high-scoring contest.
