Woodbridge is 9-1 against Gar-Field since May of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. Woodbridge will head out to square off against Gar-Field at 6:00 p.m. Woodbridge is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.2 runs per game this season.

On Wednesday, Woodbridge earned an 8-3 victory over Colonial Forge.

Caelan Goodwin-Slater was excellent, scoring a run and stealing a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. That run marked the first that he scored this season. Another player making a difference was Joel Scripture, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Meanwhile, Gar-Field was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 6-5 heartbreaker at the hands of Hylton.

Gar-Field's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Woodbridge, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Everything went Woodbridge's way against Gar-Field in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Woodbridge made off with a 10-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Woodbridge since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
