The Sesser-Valier Red Devils pushed their score all the way to 64 on Saturday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 85-64 defeat at the hands of Vienna. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (57), Sesser-Valier still had to take the loss.
Vienna had a senior duo take command as Owen Treat dropped a double-double on 18 points and 13 assists and Hunter Webb scored 20 points along with three steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Webb has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tommy Holhubner, who scored nine points.
Sesser-Valier has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-15 record this season. As for Vienna, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 20-6.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sesser-Valier and the Cardinals will face off at 6:15 p.m. on January 30th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for Vienna, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Indians at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
