On Thursday, Brazosport Christian earned a 45-34 victory over Faith West Academy.
Luke Coburn was the offensive standout of the contest as he dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Carson Catoe, who scored 4 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals.
Brazosport Christian's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Faith West Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Brazosport Christian will take on Living Stones Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. Faith West Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Logos Prep Academy at 7:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Logos Prep Academy is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
