The Iroquois West Raiders will head out on the road to challenge the Milford Bearcats at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
Last Monday, Iroquois West came up short against the Comets and fell 49-39. Iroquois West has not had much luck with the Comets recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Even though Milford has not done well against the Hilltoppers recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. Milford walked away with a 38-26 victory over the Hilltoppers. The win was a breath of fresh air for Milford as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.
Iroquois West has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 15-10 record this season. As for Milford, the victory got them back to even at 13-13.
Everything came up roses for Iroquois West against the Bearcats in their previous meeting back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 56-20 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Iroquois West since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
