It was a good run, but The Mission Bay Buccaneers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They fell 26-14 to Crawford. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as Mission Bay came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 224th, while Crawford is ranked 580th).
Joseph Minchello continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Crawford, rushing for 186 yards and four touchdowns on only 13 carries.
Crawford's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB four times. Leading the way was Isaiah Mcpherson and his two sacks.
Mission Bay's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Crawford, their win was their third straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 6-3.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Mission Bay will face off against Scripps Ranch at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. As for Crawford, they will head out on the road to face off against Hoover at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Hoover will be hoping to continue their three-game streak of scoring more points each matchup than the last.
