After losing to the Cass Colonels the last time they met, the Cartersville Hurricanes decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Cartersville slipped by Cass 45-44 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Cartersville.
Cartersville's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but DJ Cain led the charge by scoring six points along with 20 rebounds and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Kaden Baldwin, who scored 14 points along with two steals.
Cartersville is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-9 record this season. As for Cass, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-9.
