The Oneida Indians's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 69-62 loss to Campbell County. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Oneida in their matchups with Campbell County: they've now lost six in a row.
Campbell County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Logan Day, who scored 16 points. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for him. Another player making a difference was Gavin Cox, who scored 17 points along with nine rebounds.
Oneida's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Campbell County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-9 record this season.
Oneida will be playing in front of their home fans against Gatlinburg-Pittman at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Gatlinburg-Pittman will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak. As for Campbell County, they will head out on the road to face off against Anderson County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
