Baseball Recap: St. John's Catholic Prep Comes Up Short

Friday just wasn't the day for St. John's Catholic Prep's offense. They came up short against the Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy Ospreys on Friday, falling 19-0. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ospreys apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for St. John's Catholic Prep and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, the win was the 20th in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

St. John's Catholic Prep has already played their next contest, a 9-3 victory against Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy on the 15th. As for Smith Mountain Lake Christian Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 17-3 win against St. Andrew's Episcopal on the 15th.
