Saugerties had to endure a seven-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Washingtonville Wizards 54-23. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Sawyers have posted since December 6, 2024.

Saugerties' win bumped their record up to 3-7. As for Washingtonville, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Saugerties will square off against Wallkill at 5:45 p.m. on January 24th. As for Washingtonville, they will venture away from home to square off against Warwick at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Warwick will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Washingtonville surely won't give up without a fight.
