After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against West, Chaparral was happy to have turned things around  on Thursday. They blew past the Ellison Eagles 16-1. The  win was some much needed relief for the Bobcats as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Kendal Macklin, who  scored three  runs and  stole  Two bases. while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances. Those  two  stolen bases gave  her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Audrina Galvan, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all three of her plate appearances.
 Chaparral  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .826. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Chaparral's victory bumped their record up to 7-8. As for Ellison, they dropped their record down to 0-10 with the  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road.
 Coincidentally, Chaparral and Ellison will both be playing Waco the next time they take the field. Ellison will  host Waco at 6:30  p.m.  on Friday, while Chaparral will  host them  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
