Stoneham simply couldn't be stopped on Friday, as they easily beat Watertown 51-13. The victory was familiar territory for Stoneham, who now have six in a row.
Stoneham's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 39 first-half points. Meanwhile, Watertown couldn't get anything going offensively, leaving the score at 39-0 heading into the break. Stoneham were outscored in the second half, but Watertown's efforts were ultimately no more than a drop in the ocean. Stoneham added further sheen to their flawless record, now 6-0. Watertown are on a five-game losing streak that has brought their record down to 1-5.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Stoneham take on Wilmington at 7:00 PM. As for Watertown, they will face off against Wakefield Memorial.
