Given their disadvantage in the MaxPreps state rankings, Cambridge Rindge & Latin should expect quite the challenge on Friday. They are packing up and heading on the road for the first time this season. They face off against Acton-Boxborough at 7:00 PM. If the contest is anything like the 47-35 finish from the last time they met, the scorekeeper will be kept real busy.
Their game two weeks ago wasn't at all kind to Cambridge Rindge & Latin, but their most recent game may have softened the blow. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Watertown, sneaking past 21-19.
Meanwhile, Acton-Boxborough were able to grind out a solid victory over Reading Memorial last week, winning 30-22. The success made it back-to-back wins for Acton-Boxborough.
Their wins bumped Acton-Boxborough to 2-0 and Cambridge Rindge & Latin to 1-1. We'll see which team can carry over their success and which team inevitably falls when Acton-Boxborough and Cambridge Rindge & Latin clash.
