Hayden put the finishing touches on their seventh blowout victory of the season on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Phoenix Day School for the Deaf 68-23 at home. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win Hayden has posted yet this season.
Superior suffered their closest loss yet this season on Friday. They fell just short of Dishchii'bikoh by a score of 61-58. Superior has not had much luck with Dishchii'bikoh recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Hayden is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 12-5 record this season. As for Superior, they bumped their record down to 4-11 with that loss, which was their third straight at home.
Hayden took their victory against Superior in their previous meeting back in January of 2023 by a conclusive 56-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Hayden since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
