Daylan Richardson posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Wednesday. He struck out 11 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up four earned (and three unearned) runs but no hits. He has become a key player for Simmons: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most two hits, but 2-3 otherwise.
