Bartram Trail is 7-1 against Ridgeview since January of 2015, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Bartram Trail Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Ridgeview Panthers at 7:30 p.m. Hopefully Bartram Trail is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Ridgeview in Florida (Bartram Trail is ranked 70th, while Ridgeview is ranked 622nd).
Last Friday, Bartram Trail didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Creekside, but they still walked away with a 58-52 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Bartram Trail.
Bartram Trail got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was David Souza out in front who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 4 steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Geren, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, Ridgeview's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Fleming Island on the road and fell 73-41. Ridgeview was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-22.
Their wins bumped Bartram Trail to 3-1 and Creekside to 5-1.
Bartram Trail took their victory against Ridgeview in their previous matchup back in January by a conclusive 72-47. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bartram Trail since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
