After flying high against the Laurel Highlands Mustangs last Saturday, the Greater Latrobe Wildcats came back down to earth. Greater Latrobe took a 67-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of Berlin Brothersvalley. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Pace Prosser continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Berlin Brothersvalley, scoring 36 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. Prosser is absolutely dominating the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Craig Jarvis, who scored 16 points along with five rebounds.
Greater Latrobe now has a losing record at 7-8. As for Berlin Brothersvalley, the victory (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 13-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Greater Latrobe will face off against Kiski Area at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Berlin Brothersvalley won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Meyersdale at 7:00 p.m. on January 23rd. The timing isn't great for Meyersdale: they have been struggling with eight straight losses at home, while Berlin Brothersvalley has snatched up three consecutive wins on the road.
