Trey Greenwell Drops League-Best Performance on Thursday
Starting off the list is Decatur's Trey Greenwell, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Greenwell made nine total tackles and defended a pass. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 75 yards.
On the year, Greenwell has averaged 6.1 total tackles per game. That doesn't tell the whole story though: at this point last year, he had one receiving touchdown. This year he is already up to two.

This is the second loss in a row for Athens and nudges their season record down to 5-2. It'll be Battle of the Birds when Golden Eagles dukes it out withColumbia at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Keeping Gross company is Endymion Tyus, a fellow Athens player. He picked up 81 receiving yards and two touchdowns. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, making three total tackles and defending a pass.

A Season-Best Effort from Cayden Oliver Leads Decatur over Mae Jemison
On Thursday, Decatur had to settle for second even though Cayden Oliver put up the best numbers he has all season. Oliver wasn't messing around, forcing two fumbles and making 15 total tackles. The game was his ninth straight with five or more total tackles dating back to last season.
This year, Oliver has averaged 11.2 total tackles per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after eight games last season, he was only averaging 5.5 total tackles per game.
