The biggest upset of the week belonged to Walnut, who defeated 561st ranked Rowland, 26-21. Chase Clark ran for 90 yards and caught 2 passes for 36 yards in the win.
The Mustangs moved up to 678 from 812 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Hacienda. Walnut was able to move up by defeating the Raiders 26-21.
Tanner Diebold put up the best numbers in passing as Bonita fell to Diamond Bar. He finished with 23 completions for 212 yards. Diebold's favorite target this week was Payton Jake, who caught 9 passes for 50 yards.
On the heels of Diebold and Jake, the Bearcats have had great success on offense. Diebold leads the league in passing with 865 yards, while Jake has rushed for 573 yards this season. The Brahmas' Cordell Broadus leads the league in receiving yards with 331 on 31 catches.
The top two teams in the league will face off this week when first place Los Altos takes on second place Diamond Ranch.
Next week's game between Bonita and Rowland will feature an aerial matchup as Diebold tests his arm against Diego Arias's defensive ability.
