After losing to the Gateway Olympians the last time they met, the Northglenn Norsemen decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Northglenn pulled ahead with a 52-51 photo finish over Gateway. The win made it back-to-back wins for Northglenn.
Northglenn's win on Thursday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jose Jaimes, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Uriah Duran, who scored eight points along with three steals.
Northglenn's win bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Gateway, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.
Northglenn will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Hopefully Fairview focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 21 on Saturday. Gateway won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Castle View at 7:00 p.m. on January 5th. Castle View is strutting with some offensive muscle, as they've averaged 59.2 points per game.
