Gunnar Schockelt posted a new career-high in strikeouts on Thursday. As a matter of fact, he turned in his biggest game of the season, striking out eight batters over six innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up a single walk in five consecutive appearances.
