Baseball Recap: Marysville Comes Up Short

Marysville dropped their record down to 3-5 on Tuesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Fraser Ramblers by a score of 6-5. The Vikings were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Ramblers apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

As for Fraser, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-9. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games.

For Fraser's part, Chris Parada tossed a big game, striking out seven batters over six innings while giving up five earned runs off six hits. Those seven strikeouts gave Parada a new career-high.

At the plate, Jack Manzella was incredible, going 1-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. Camden Townsend was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two runs and one double.

While Marysville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
