The Laurel Spartans will face off against the Wilmington Greyhounds at 1:30  p.m.  on Saturday.
Last Tuesday, Laurel didn't have quite enough to beat New Brighton and fell  6-5.
 Laurel saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Luca Santini, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-3.
Meanwhile, Wilmington hadn't done well against Hickory recently (they were 0-6 in their previous six matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. Wilmington walked away with  a   9-5  victory over Hickory. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Greyhounds.
  Kayden Wygant was  incredible,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-3. He also  brought in two  RBI, marking his first of the season.  Brodie Dewberry was another key player,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 1-for-4.
 Laurel's loss  ended  a  four-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 1-2. As for Wilmington, they now  have a winning record of 3-2.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp  on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Laurel has been swiping bases left and right this season,  having  averaged 2.7  stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Wilmington struggles in that department as   they've been averaging  an even more impressive 3.4  stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
 Laurel suffered a grim  9-1 defeat to Wilmington  when the teams last played  back in March of 2019. Can Laurel avenge their  defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
