The Morrisville-Eaton Warriors will look to defend their home field on Friday against the West Canada Valley Indians at 8:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
After only six points in their last contest, Morrisville-Eaton made sure to put some points up on the board against Sauquoit Valley on Friday. Morrisville-Eaton simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Sauquoit Valley 56-6 at home. With Morrisville-Eaton ahead 43-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.
Morrisville-Eaton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carter Highers, who rushed for 80 yards and three touchdowns on only seven carries, and also picked up 36 receiving yards. Austin Zaleski was another key contributor, rushing for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only nine carries.
Meanwhile, West Canada Valley faced Thousand Islands in a battle between two of the state's top teams. West Canada Valley breezed by Thousand Islands at home to the tune of 48-6. The win was familiar territory for West Canada Valley who now have five in a row.
Morrisville-Eaton's victory bumped their record up to 7-1. As for West Canada Valley, their win was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-1.
Morrisville-Eaton didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against West Canada Valley when the teams last played back in November of 2022, but they still walked away with a 20-14 win.
