The Foundation Academy Lions will challenge the Edgewater Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (Foundation Academy 3.4, Edgewater 3.9) so any runs scored will be well earned.
Foundation Academy took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Saturday. Everything went their way against Davenport as Foundation Academy made off with a 16-1 win. Considering the Lions have won seven games by more than six runs this season, Saturday's blowout was nothing new.
Drew Calhoun looked comfortable as he didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Barak Boston was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and three runs. That's the most runs he has posted since March 1st. David Hwang was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Edgewater never let their opponents score on Saturday. They came out on top against Trinity Christian Academy by a score of 5-0.
Tanner Johnson looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has become a key player for Edgewater: the team is 3-1 when he allows at most three hits, but 7-8 otherwise.
At the plate, Edgewater let Odanyx Ofarril and Coron Victor run wild. Ofarril scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in two of his four plate appearances, while Victor scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Edgewater is 4-1 when Ofarril posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Justin Hopper, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.
Foundation Academy pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.5 runs over those games. As for Edgewater, they now have a winning record of 10-9.
Everything went Foundation Academy's way against Edgewater in their previous meeting back in March of 2024, as Foundation Academy made off with a 9-1 victory. Will Foundation Academy repeat their success, or does Edgewater has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
