Raymond scored the most runs they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against the McLaurin Tigers, falling 24-14. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (12), the Rangers still had to take the loss.

Raymond saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brandon Hudson, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-4. Hudson is crushing it when it comes to stolen bases: he's stole at least two every time he's taken the field this season. Victor Jordan Jr. also deserves some recognition as he scored his first runs of the season.

Raymond's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for McLaurin, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Raymond will challenge Port Gibson at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Raymond has given up an average of 11.1 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for McLaurin, they will be playing at home against North Forrest at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
