Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Luther Prep). Everything went their way against the Catholic Central Hilltoppers on Friday as they made off with a 19-4 win. Addy Schmidt made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits (and only one walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in eight consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 1-for-5 with three runs and one RBI.
In other batting news, Lydia Vasold was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three doubles, two runs, and two RBI. Those doubles were her first of the season. Myah Pederson was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two triples and two runs.
