Softball Recap: East St. John Has No Trouble Against South Plaquemines

East St. John's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They blew past the South Plaquemines Hurricanes 25-15. Considering the Wildcats have won nine games by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

East St. John is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-4 record this season. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 19 runs. South Plaquemines now has a losing record of 3-4.

Looking ahead, East St. John will be playing at home against Central Lafourche at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Central Lafourche has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.06 runs per game on average), something East St. John will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for South Plaquemines, they will be taking part in a tournament against Edna Karr at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
