Western Guilford has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Ragsdale Tigers at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Friday, Western Guilford came up short against Southeast Guilford and fell 52-43.
Meanwhile, Ragsdale also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to Northwest Guilford by a score of 48-39. Ragsdale has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Filip Rasuo, who scored four points along with nine rebounds and two blocks. That's the first time this season that he posted two or more blocks. KJ Burke was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with 11 rebounds.
Western Guilford bumped their record down to 0-15 with that loss, which was their tenth straight on the road. As for Ragsdale, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost 11 of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-14 record this season.
Western Guilford suffered a grim 54-34 defeat to Ragsdale in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Western Guilford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
