The Cuba Wildcats will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against the Farmington Knights at 7:30 p.m. on November 30th. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Even though Cuba has not done well against Sullivan recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. Cuba walked away with a 43-33 win over Sullivan.
It was another big night for Jesse Elrod, who scored 19 points along with 7 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Cuba's points. Another player making a difference was Preston Heads, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Farmington made easy work of St. James on Monday and carried off a 66-42 win.
Cuba's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Farmington, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Cuba and Farmington were neck-and-neck when the teams last played back in December of 2022, but Cuba came up empty-handed after a 44-43 loss. Can Cuba avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
