After only two  runs in their last  contest, Rolling Meadows made sure to put some  runs up on the board against Hoffman Estates  on Tuesday. The Mustangs blew past the Hawks 11-1. The result was nothing new for the Mustangs, who have now won seven matchups by nine  runs or more  so far this season.
 Iris Jordan spent all five innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on four hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in six consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Caylee Del Boccio was  incredible,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with four  runs, two  stolen bases,  and one  double. That's the most  runs  she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of  Mary Linker, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI and one  run.
 They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Rolling Meadows  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 14  hits. They are 5-1 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
With the  victory, Rolling Meadows broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-15. As for Hoffman Estates,  they are  on  a  17-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-17.
 Looking ahead, Rolling Meadows is taking a road trip to  take on Fremd  at 4:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Vikings' pitching crew has only allowed 1.8  runs per game  this season, so the Mustangs' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hoffman Estates, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Buffalo Grove  at 4:45  p.m.
