Softball Recap: Lewisburg Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Lewisburg entered their tilt with Mantachie on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They put the hurt on the Mantachie Mustangs with a sharp 9-3 win. Considering the Patriots have won five games by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Anna Etter and Leona-Klaire Stokes did most of the damage at the plate: Etter went 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and one double, while Stokes scored three runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances. Kara Walker was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4.

Lewisburg hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most three strikeouts in four consecutive contests.

Lewisburg picked up their first home victory, bumping their record up to 6-3. As for Mantachie, they dropped their record down to 5-6 with the loss, which was their fourth straight on the road.
