Wayne is 9-1 against O'Neill since December of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Saturday. The Wayne Blue Devils just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the O'Neill Eagles at 5:00 p.m. Wayne will be coming into the game with an undefeated record on the line.
Wayne is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They managed a 66-62 win over West Point-Beemer on Friday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wayne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Gavin Redden, who went 7 of 12 on his way to 18 points. Those 18 points gave Redden a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaden Keller, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 11 boards.
Meanwhile, O'Neill might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Summerland [Clearwater/Ewing/Orchard] an easy 58-36 victory. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Wayne will need focus on slowing down Porter Mathews, one of several O'Neill players who made an impact when they last played. He posted seven points and six rebounds. Another player making a difference was Trevor Alder, who had eight points and five rebounds.
Wayne pushed their record up to 4-0 with the win, which was their 15th straight at home dating back to last season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.9 points per game. As for O'Neill, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Wayne has been crazy accurate this season, having made 47.8% of their shots per game. It's a different story for O'Neill, though, as they've only made 31.9% of their field goals this season. Given Wayne's sizable advantage in that area, O'Neill will need to find a way to close that gap.
Wayne beat O'Neill 51-44 in their previous matchup back in December of 2023. The rematch might be a little tougher for Wayne since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
