AAA Region 1 Top Player Performances of the Week
Congratulations to this week's top players! We're covering the best performances from Friday's football action (using all statistics entered as of the time of writing). Enjoy!
Robinson Came Up Big in Walhalla's 49-7 Win
Starting off the list is Walhalla's Landon Robinson, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Robinson rushed for 162 yards and four touchdowns on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 52 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
If the past is any indication, Robinson could be in store for another big game when he takes on West-Oak on Friday. Robinson rushed for 206 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry the last time he and the Warriors duked it out back in October of 2023.

Bray Spear Delivers Best Effort of Season
On Friday, Pendleton got the W thanks in part to Bray Spear playing the best football he has all season. Spear rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns on only six carries, and also picked up 49 receiving yards and a touchdown. He is becoming a predictor of Pendleton's success: when he posts at least two rushing touchdowns the team is 2-1 (and 1-2 when he doesn't).
Spear and Pendleton will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Crescent at 7:30 p.m. on November 1st. The match will pit Spear up against the Tigers' star rusher Darius Latimer. Will the game be decided in the trenches? We'll have our answer very soon.
