Even though El Capitan/Centennial Academy have not done well against the Williams Vikings recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Thursday. El Capitan/Centennial Academy strolled past Williams with points to spare, taking the game 51-36. For El Capitan/Centennial Academy, this counts as revenge for the 39-32 defeat Williams walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2023.
Despite the loss, Williams still got an impressive performance from Kai Mortensen , who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Mortensen scored a full 52.8% of Williams' points, the third time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

As for Williams, they will head out on the road to face off against Grand Canyon at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully Grand Canyon focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Saturday.
