Chittenango and Westhill are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2017, but not for long. The Chittenango Bears will head out on the road to face off against the Westhill Warriors at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Chittenango has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 869 points over their last 12 matchups.
Even though Institute of Tech scored an imposing 76 points on Friday, Chittenango still came out on top. Chittenango walked away with an 83-76 victory over Institute of Tech.
Ryan Moesch was his usual excellent self, scoring 42 points. That makes it 13 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Chittenango's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brendon Barnard, who scored 20 points.
Meanwhile, Westhill stacked a fourth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Cortland for the full four quarters, racking up a 76-39 win at home. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Westhill has managed all season.
Chittenango's victory bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Westhill, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Chittenango came up short against Westhill in their previous matchup back in February of 2023, falling 61-55. Can Chittenango avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
