Tuscola had lost three straight on the road, but on Friday they dropped down to 9-7 to make it four. They lost 15-7 to the Pisgah Bears. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bears this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-3 on Tuesday.
Kinzie Messer made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 3-for-5 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
As for Pisgah, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 13-3. The result was nothing new for the Bears, who have now won nine contests by six runs or more so far this season.
On Pisgah's side, Lilly Inman was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up just one earned (and six unearned) runs off nine hits. Inman was also big at the plate, going 3-for-5 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Alexis Markos, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most stolen bases she has posted since back in March. Madi Potter was another key player, going 1-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple.
Tuscola didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 9-6 defeat against Madison on the 20th. As for Pisgah, they have also already played their next game, a 10-0 victory against East Henderson on the 21st.
