Westview had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. The final score came out to 28-30, 25-14, 25-21, 25-23.
Westview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alayah Hostetler, who had 17 assists and 14 digs. Another player making a difference was Graci Engle, who had 15 digs and one assist.
Westview was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now served at least seven aces in seven consecutive matchups.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Fairfield, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They came out on top against Central Noble by a score of 3-1 on Thursday.
The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 26-28, 25-13, 25-12.
Fairfield's win bumped their record up to 10-13. As for Westview, they now have a winning record of 12-11.
