Dillon is 9-1 against the Bulldogs since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Wednesday. The Dillon Wildcats will head out on the road to face off against the Georgetown Bulldogs at 7:30 p.m. Dillon is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road.
On Monday, Dillon didn't have too much breathing room in their game against the Warriors, but they still walked away with a 57-51 victory. Given Dillon's advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 86th, while the Warriors are ranked 202nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Meanwhile, Georgetown beat the Blue Jackets 61-51 on Monday.
Ty Stanley was a one-man wrecking crew for Georgetown as he scored 20 points. Stanley hasn't dropped below 17 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Jari Ford, who scored 14 points along with eight rebounds.
Dillon has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won eight of their last nine contests, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season. As for Georgetown, the victory got them back to even at 12-12.
Everything came up roses for Dillon against the Bulldogs when the teams last played two weeks ago as the squad secured a 75-43 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Dillon since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
