Baseball Recap: Coudersport Wins Going Away Against Otto-Eldred

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Port Allegany, Coudersport was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Otto-Eldred Terrors 15-0. The Falcons might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four matches by seven runs or more this season.

Quinn Kratzer was a standout: he scored three runs and stole four bases while going 2-for-2. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 1.2 stolen bases per game. Mason Roessner was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.

Coudersport always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .645. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Otto-Eldred only posted an OBP of .471.

Coudersport's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 5-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games. As for Otto-Eldred, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 3-2 record.

Coming up, Coudersport will challenge Cowanesque Valley at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Falcons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Indians have averaged an impressive 10.6 runs per game this season. As for Otto-Eldred, they will face off against Allegany-Limestone at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
