The Monroe Hornets lost against the Bishop Fenwick Falcons back in January of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Monroe took a 47-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of Bishop Fenwick. While losing is never fun, Monroe can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 446th, while Bishop Fenwick is ranked 84th).
Bailey Temming continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Bishop Fenwick, scoring 16 points along with eight blocks and six rebounds. Temming has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last eight times he's played. Shaefer Janeck was another key contributor, scoring 12 points.
Monroe dropped their record down to 8-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight at home. As for Bishop Fenwick, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-7.
Monroe didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 72-55 win vs. Edgewood on the 9th. Bishop Fenwick has also already played their next contest, a 55-46 win against Chaminade Julienne Catholic on the 9th.
