The Letchworth Indians were the 69-66 winner over the Mount Morris Blue Devils when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. Letchworth fell 57-46 to the Blue Devils on Friday. Letchworth has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mount Morris' win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Anthony Hightower, who scored 19 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Hightower is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Santini, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds.
Letchworth's loss dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Mount Morris, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 11-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Letchworth will square off against the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Caledonia-Mumford is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak. As for Mount Morris, they will head out on the road to take on the Golden Gophers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Pavilion is on a three-game streak of home wins, the Blue Devils a four-game streak of away wins -- so someone will have to leave a streak behind on the court.
