Seaford is 2-7 against Friends Academy since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Seaford Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Friends Academy Quakers at 7:00 p.m. Friends Academy took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Seaford, who comes in off a win.
Seaford had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Lawrence 69-19 on the road.
Meanwhile, Friends Academy took a serious blow against Episcopal on Sunday, falling 81-50. While losing is never fun, Friends Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 283rd in New York, while Episcopal is ranked 128th in Virginia).
Seaford's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Friends Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-3.
Things could have been worse for Seaford, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 80-63 loss to Friends Academy in their previous matchup back in February of 2021. Can Seaford avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
