Grand Saline is 0-3 against Brownsboro since January of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Grand Saline Indians will head out on the road to face off against the Brownsboro Bears at 7:15 p.m. Grand Saline's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for ten straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
Friday just wasn't the day for Grand Saline's offense. Their rough 17-0 defeat to Lindale on Friday might stick with them for a while. Grand Saline has struggled against Lindale recently, as their match on Friday was their eighth consecutive lost matchup.
Meanwhile, Brownsboro had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Van with a sharp 7-1 win on Monday. The win was just what Brownsboro needed coming off of a 8-2 loss in their prior match.
They hit Van with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from
Madison Hernandez (5),
Zoey Hinton, and
Mya Taylor.
Grand Saline's defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 0-10. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only scored two goals over those six contests. As for Brownsboro, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Grand Saline might still be hurting after the 9-0 defeat they got from Brownsboro in their previous meeting back in March of 2023. Can Grand Saline avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
