The Pembroke Dragons were the 37-28 winner over the Byron-Bergen Bees when they last played one another back in December of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Pembroke fell 60-48 to the Bees on Thursday. That's two games in a row now that Pembroke has lost by exactly 12 points.
Several Dragons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Morgan Coniber, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Coniber scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Elle Peterson, who scored 12 points along with three steals.
Pembroke has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-7 record this season. As for Byron-Bergen, their victory bumped their record up to 1-2.
Pembroke will be playing at home against the Mustangs at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Byron-Bergen, they will head out on the road to face off against the Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Royalton-Hartland comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
